How To Make A Portable Dental Unit

Moscow. It's not Christmas Vacation.

"We have nothing for Christmas on our German website," suggested to us by a boss last Friday morning. No wonder: In the Moscow editors was to bring it really then anyone anything about this strange festival on the website. Yes, it still separates Russia from Europe's largest festival of the Christian world, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates stubborn, but still consistently according to the Julian calendar, so in the night of 7 January.

The Christmas tree is in Russia so far as the "New Year's tree" because it is situated at the turn. (The left of the Bolsheviks after the Oktoberrevoluton 1917 in the course of the anti-religious struggle sold Christmas trees in 1935, Stalin introduced as a secular New Year's icon again). Just a week after New Year's Christmas " it "in this country. Here, too, wants Russia to go his way.
Right, "it's Christmas", however. The gifts are already on 31 December replaced. What to do with Christmas really - a day off is the hard fact only since the end of the Soviet-era again - a few only know. celebrate the centuries old European tradition, this day in a large family, has become common in Russia, not for now. A colleague from Zurich was very surprised when they of "Christmas fireworks" in Russia read - is about geballert in Europe known only to the New Year. The night of the 25th December is there even a "stlle Night, Holy Night".

Extensive New Year and Christmas holidays are available in Russia yet, most businesses and institutions remain empty for the first ten days of the year a large extent. In the sweat of the brow then picks up the production of what she has sipped in the first decade of January, over the following weeks and months. The economy plunges into the red, the binge drinking which in this respect already seriously endangered the country take this too drastic.
But the church is pleased to now have their own stubbornness does not seem so special. A few days ago suggested a high-ranking dignitaries in front of the Moscow Church Council, 7 January "next to the Christmas and the day of eviction Napoleon from Russia to celebrate. " Thus containing the booze on 7 January, at least has a historical meaning.

seems much simpler and more useful to me but when the Russian church still decides to switch to the "secular" calendar and join in the Christmas celebration with the rest of the Christian world. If she is concerned about their popularity, that would certainly be a sensible step.
What the Russians will participate namely, inter alia, with the other Christian peoples could, would be the Christmas markets. This institution exists in Russia is still not even after the official re-introduction of Christmas. Although I recognize not, as the Christmas markets to the western European model - would piece together with Lent, the careful strictly Orthodox Church not only before Easter, but before Christmas, which is but then another story - with mulled wine, sausages and other small delicacy .

I know that in Europe itself, we speak often and now, the Christmas markets are in fact nothing but a part of the general deterioration of the population with drinking, etc. Those who complain in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, it can know: For the "poor Russians children" who have never had such a thing, but this is an event to enjoy. to feel about this extra pre-Christmas atmosphere -
mid-December I'm back for a few days after GEDU Vienna:
And even for the "children" who are now adults. Real enviable.

Cleanolive Oil From Container

Kremlin dreamer?

you believe in the modernization of Russia?
but is now in this country is an absolute buzz word has become almost like "perestroika" of his time. President Medvedev has published a programmatic article about - probably not noticed in some old-fashioned "Izvestia", but in a liberal Internet newspaper. "Forward, Russia! "Is the contribution.
The Kremlin party is out now the term "conservative modernization" put into circulation, which reveals some differences of opinion on the subject of Russia's top.
Khodorkovsky - the time the richest Russian, now the most famous inmate - gave his two cents: The "Generation M" has to her. This modernization class to be at least three percent of the population. (Why not six? Why not 16? Why not 0.6?) This class will never be created as long as corrupt bureaucracy and power vertical dominate the country. A modernization of the economy was without modernization of society - especially by the emergence of an effective civil society - not possible.
He challenged the Kremlin's chief ideologist Vladislav Surkov. The modernization would indeed be on the basis of democratic institutions, it was necessary to prevent any political instability. How can this be it? The "Chinese model" for instance?
Russia has experienced several large and small modernization waves. First, under Peter I. With much pomp and a lot of blood. Extensive and costly. With thousands of foreigners. The other famous
modernization happened in Stalin's time. With much pomp and a lot more blood. Extensive and costly. With millions of Gulag prisoners. And a utopian vision, which was profaned rescue.
your biggest modernization of Russia had a chance but on the threshold of 20th Century missed. The first "ungeprügelte" generation (after the abolition of serfdom in 1861) caused a huge step in the industrialization and urbanization. At last, albeit with a huge delay to Europe, was created in Russia an effective bourgeoisie.
Another important factor: Three quarters of Russia's population was around the time of the outbreak of World War II less than 34 years. The energy of youth was there, the push for change also. At the spectacular development of Russian art around the turn of the century is clearly visible.
was unfortunately squandered all the testosterone in the World War and the subsequent civil war.
Russia today has little to testosterone. The company has atomized, passive and listless, stupid youth surprisingly conservative and consumption.
A future vision is eliminated. More, the most political discussions for the still of the past, especially around the person of Stalin - was he good or bad for Russia yet? With such a rigid rear view can hardly make a modernization.
go back Sometimes that company look even more far behind Stalin. At about Ivan the Terrible, Russia's "Stalin of the Middle Ages "- in terms of bloodlust and also in terms of high performance in the expansion of the Russian Empire, the two quite a bit in common. The Ivan is now the latest blockbuster of the Russian film industry devoted - "The Czar".
from the critical public response to the strip - "Ivan has IV but also much good for Russia done - does not matter that he has a lot of land people can kill" - pulls director Pavel Lungin the statement: "Russia's people is still stuck in the Middle Ages. "" It has indeed learned by now to send rockets into space, the spiritual progress is lagging far but the technical . Behind "
(Even in football, Russia has now squandered its modernization chance in the spirit of Peter I, a Dutchman to modernization purposes to Moscow had been brought Guus Hiddink did his best.. From the lackluster Russian kicker force tinkered it the surprise team of € 2008 together, which brought there bronze to another big jump but remained of the Russian national team a year later out of breath. The arrogant football millionaires stumbled upon moving in to the World Cup finals to the nameless, providing light of a future vision winged Slovenes. )
a big ideological problem is this: For many Russians, the modernization almost a synonym for "Westernization." They do not. "Russia has its own way," she proudly reply. "As you wish. Your own way but you can see on your streets impossible, "the hochnasigen Westerners say to that.
wrong or the skeptics? Perhaps Russia is still a potential surprise? We recall the historic Vladimir Lenin's conversation with the British writer Herbert Wells ("Time Machine", "The War of the Worlds," "Invisible," etc.) in 1920 in the Kremlin.
The founder of the science-fiction literature later admitted that he is of Lenin's vision of the future was almost convinced. Nevertheless, describing he the leader of the proletarian revolution as the "Kremlin dreamers".
"Come back in ten years to us," he said good-bye Lenin. Wells was 1934. The economic contrast to Russia in 1920 impressed him in the act.
What is however not mentioned as often: From his meeting with Stalin Wells was deeply disappointed.
Is Medvedev, a new "Kremlin dreamer?"

Baby Changing Table Woodworking Plans

Connichi 2009

Hi guys,

it took some time to finish this report, but now we're back on track! A lot of things happened in the mean-time: We got over and done with an amazingly huge part of our shootings. Now we're looking back on a very busy and successful year. Part of it was our partitipation at the convention "Connichi" in Kassel, Germany, this September, where Dark Moon Entertainment had a booth of its own for the third time in a row.

Due to a short (but positive) relocation at the convention, our team had to improvise a littel. But with the amazing support of the Connichi staff, we had an alternative booth built up in no time.

Friday and sunday turned out to be a little calmer than the years bevor. Thus, we had the chance to unhurriedly tell those who were interested in the project something about the plot and our progress.

On saturday on the other hand, we started selling the tickets for our tombola at 10 am. There were 100 prizes to win, again! But even the consolation gifts happened to enjoy the participants. All tickets were sold out after a record time of 4 hours!

The feedback was enormous and we managed to get some useful donations for the movie including our first executive producer , Fanny Schulze, who donated the amazing sum of 250 Euros!

We would also like to take the chance and thank each and everyone of our helpers at the convention and the visitors of our stand. You have given a ehll lot of motivation to all the team and the project with your enthusiasm. We really appreciate that! And if everything turns out nice, we'd be happy to present the finished movie to you at next year's Connichi hopefully .

Last, but not least: Here some impressions from the convention sponsered by our special effects-guy, Matti. ;)

And here are some further news on Dark Moon: First, we are now on Twitter and Facebook and we'd like you to join us! Furthermore we're re-designing our official website . There we will present you anything on the movie with a new layout as soon as possible! We hope you stay tuned!

Best regards, Claudia
(in the name of the entire Dark Moon team)

Hi,

it took a while to make that report finished, but now we are back at the start. In the meantime a lot has happened: We have a lot of our shooting schedule been successfully behind us and look back on a busy year. Part of it was this year Connichi in Kassel, the Dark Moon Entertainment represented the third time a stand was.

By short (but positive) relocation, our team had to improvise on the spot, unfortunately, a little, but by active support from the Connichi organization, we had quickly built up a wonderful alternative.

The Friday and Sunday was quieter this year than in previous years. However, we had the opportunity to those interested in peace and to present our project to tell which one or other small parts from the plot.

On Saturday we started at 10.00 clock the sale of raffle tickets - once again this year with 100 winners and a few rivets. About the consolation prizes were pleased, however, all participants. After a record time of 4 hours, all lots were sold out!

The response was really enormous, we have made a good contribution and our first Executive Producer , Fanny Schulze, received a donation of 250 €.

We would like to take this opportunity once again to thank all the friends and the many visitors at the booth Connichi. You give us your enthusiasm, the motivation to continue even a larger drive our project. If all goes well, we will let you hopefully next year will be presenting at the Connichi our movie!

To round here a few impressions that were of special effects people, Matti sponsored, ;-)

Otherwise, has also done some at Dark Moon: First, we are now at Twitter and Facebook at to find . The family will therefore always have new growth. In addition, our website is under construction. In the future it will be there again some more for the eye.

We hope you stay tuned!

Greetings from Claudia

Meeting For Jelly Bands

Stalin WINS

Stalin's there. 56 years after his death, he is still Russia's top newsmaker. In the minds of the people and in the soul of the land he lives on. And wins. In August
could experience the RIA-Novosti reader a fierce debate about the Hitler-Stalin pact. On the Web our agency ended this more or less a draw, more even with a narrow victory of Stalin: In any case, the panelists, who claimed that Stalin's pact with Hitler was a stopgap measure that has his country in the eve of the Second World War, more pros do outweigh the disadvantages , not in the minority.

Last month saw Stalin again hit the headlines: One of his grandsons had filed a lawsuit against the Moscow newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" the court because the paper had described his grandfather as "executioners". The grandson of the newspaper was a denial and any remuneration which he estimated with a six-figure euro sum.

few days prior to the court I asked the "Novaya Gazeta" author Yevgeny Bunimowitsch: The judge will get, given the political and ideological implications of the dispute a call from the Kremlin - with the statement, which stated that it has to make? "Absolutely," he said. "The more exciting is what it will be for a statement."
The grandson action was not finally approved. The Stalinists conceded that although a goal, they felt discouraged by the fact no case, however.

For the same time Stalin's name appeared in the newly renovated Moscow Metro station Kurskaya: One of the walls decorated with the words from the former Soviet anthem: ! Inspired Stalin us to work and exploits "Moscow's chief architect Andrei Kuzmin said:" I am not a Stalinist, if you want to restore but the station right here, so too must the Stalin statue that stood there originally. "

I remember the now classic as applicable Soviet film "The Belarusian railway station. It's about four war veterans who see themselves 25 years after the victory again - at the funeral of another comrade. In one scene, the director used a snippet of the film chronicle of 1945: A train with Soviet soldiers returning arrives in Belarus railway station in Moscow. The front of the locomotive is a large, fixed with flowers decorated Stalin's image. When I saw the film in 1970 in a cinema hall erupted in spontaneous in this few-second section of applause.
film director Andrei Smirnov, a staunch anti-Stalinist, as we know it now, has not certainly expected such an effect. Apparently he was just merely "restoring" a significant piece of that era.

Then, a few years after the end of the anti-Stalinist-Khrushchev era, Stalin was still something of a taboo figure. In the post-Soviet period, but he is no longer a taboo figure more: He is seen regularly in plays and television series. As a cartoon villain, but also as a hero and father of the nation.

Since early November, at least we know that Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev is an anti-Stalinist. In any case, his text leaves the memorial for the victims of political repression ( http://www.de.rian.ru/russia/20091030/123772624.html )
hardly doubt it. In so many Russian media comments but this text was already with Nikita Khrushchev's speech at the 20th CPSU Party Congress almost equated with the 1956, the radical de-Stalinization of Soviet Russia was launched - just because today's Russia is certainly ripe for a remake.

because Stalin himself appears to have the massive investigative and debunking campaign of the Gorbachev and Yeltsin-era survived quite loose. A few days before Medvedev's anti-Stalinist appeal I asked Khrushchev's namesake, Nikita Borovikov, head of the Kremlin-loyal youth movement Nashi (Ours), what he thought of Stalin personally. The response of the 29-year-old Jus-docs was: "I can make no ruling on it. Stalin is a very complex figure, and we still do not know the whole truth about him "

Stalin is alive -. And provides new scandals. For a few days, he is now at the center of a scandal that has suffered in the reputation of the agency RIA Novosti as admit editor in chief Svetlana Mironjuk had. ( http://www.de.rian.ru/analysis/20091102/123813709.html ).
In its text is also a woman Mironjuk including the phenomenon of longevity of the Stalin myth.

What must be done now, so that Stalin is not more 21 in Russia
Century interfere? What could and should be done about it?

Current Keywords: modernization. Medvedev and Putin are now taking this word more often in the mouth. Russia's modernization will probably be the main theme of Medvedev's upcoming annual address to the nation.
My opinion: As long as Russia is not the gang-chains of Stalinsmus dropped has in this country can be no modernization. Not even the Chinese version.
you soon.

What Is The Best Surround Reciever

NIX ORANGE, or fraud without consequences

Do you remember the term "Orange Revolution"? This was a few years ago in the Ukraine. The opposition, which the orange color - for whatever reason - chose as their symbol, protested for weeks in the central square of Kiev against electoral fraud and pushed through a new election.
There were the post-Soviet space a Rose Revolution in Georgia and a Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan. Maybe even a few "colorful" revolutions, which I do not remember right now. In all these cases, it was nothing more than a Mass protest against the infringement committed by the former rulers of election fraud, the aim of the natural desire was to remain in power. Nothing more.
The latest regional and local elections on 11 October in Russia - in 75 regions were local parliaments, elected mayors, etc. - were accompanied by extremely massive electoral fraud in favor of the "party of power" that eventually all these elections, "won".
For all of Russia can not I speak - but certainly for the election of the Moscow city parliament, which appears in this respect quite exemplary. After all, in the metropolis of all major parties and all nationally known politicians concentrated. The control of the media in Moscow, compared to most provinces a little looser. The proud inhabitants of the city are more educated and politically. Nevertheless, the electoral fraud in Moscow were no less blatant, vicious and ruthless than the last dump. Proven
election fraud, there is really enough, and the few from the power nor tolerated print media - from the Internet to mention - some of which have also described in detail and demonstrated.
Basically this is a fairly serious crime that should be punished according to Russian law, even painful. The penalties are inevitable, however. In contrast to the above-mentioned post-Soviet countries, it is in Moscow and in Russia, no orange-type, no roses and no tuple-like, no apples or cucumbers revolution.
The pus will not come out, the rot will spread now to more and more institutions of the state body - because it is just stunning the nervous system of the drug propaganda.
Man I will reply, well: Ukrainians have lost to the society of the Orange Revolution offered democratization chance embarrassing, the Georgians have made as a result of their Rose Revolution, a rogue president, and now in power in Kyrgyzstan who govern now there thanks to the Tulip Revolution may be, in no way cleaner and more democratic than the predecessor. That may be true. This is but to me on another sheet.
For all these color revolutions were the moments for the society in those countries where the people have felt as a citizen. And that in itself is very healthy for any society. I find halt.
Russia has made its way, "colored" revolution already in August 1991. She was so far "colorful" as this, the Soviet red flag has been replaced by the Russian tricolor. The revolution of that time was not directly connected with voter fraud, but certainly with an infamous anti-Gorby-and anti-Yeltsin coup that just thanks to a popular uprising (an extremely was contested local and quite harmless, as it appears today).
For many in Russia - very many! Too many? - The consequences of that August Revolution were so painful that today too few people - sorry: citizens - are ready to take to the streets and against which they inflicted on the latest insult to protest electoral fraud.
Most will plug this insult. More than that: in order not to feel offended, are at most of the 11th October not even gone to the polls. According to official statistics, the turnout in Moscow at about 35 percent. The rather simple - now published - mathematical analysis proves, however, that the turnout was in fact about 20 percent. Even in the city felt, therefore, four fifths of the population on election day than non-citizens.
If you count the votes fairly, it would be represented in the Moscow city parliament five parties, not two, as stated in the official election result - claimed at least the math. In this respect need to really feel cheated and insulted those who have gone to the polls.
(Incidentally, the "power party" had in Moscow - won any electoral fraud, were not so high as a house - according to mathematics.)
I'm on 11 October went to the polling station and got my ballot paper issued. My party is still, according to official statistics under the 7 percent threshold. I feel cheated.
On the street I'm not gone yet. I hope you will understand - why. An Orange Revolution - and a new edition of the "tricolor" revolution - is now inevitable in Russia. The pus may thus spread further.
That I can do but my voice on this website at least known, I owe that "tricolor" revolution of August 1991.
you soon.

What Happens When You Get A Pink Summons In Nyc

FEDERAL TEAM AGAINST VOLKSWAGEN

Do you know what is on the advertisement shown below? Those who do not read Russian, I translate:

"against Russia Germany on 10 October: We keep our fingers crossed for Russia! Volkswagen -. The official sponsor of the national team of Russia "

I know some will think so, I take with my translation on the arm. But I swear it's true.

The picture I have made these days in Moscow's city center.

in the former Soviet Union would like in the "grimace of capitalism" land. A German company pushes the soccer opponents Russia in the crucial game the thumb - to only increase their profits! Where is the patriotism? Limit was not considered of high treason?
However, one could in Soviet Russia no Volkswagen Like all other foreign cars for that matter - now.

would also be interested to know the following: what would happen if some of the Lada manufacturer, a similar banner in Germany would have unhinged? A huge scandal would be guaranteed, I think. And for the Russian patriotism professionals would be definitely a godsend. Demonstrations by outraged Lada-workers and immediate dismissal of the Lada-management, I imagine easily. Real.

Moreover, the Federal team, of course, not envy, even if Volkswagen now on 10 begin October in Moscow against the German team is. Of these, not to mention that the Russian team in Adidas jerseys plays. Strictly speaking, all this is of course outrageous. Fortunately, no one will see in Germany is really strict.
you soon.

What Goes Well With A Black Vest

BAD OBAMA. Part 2

"The U.S. is the bulwark of peace" - so these days was the lead story in the Moscow daily newspaper Kommersant.
course put a lot of irony in it - this is for her humorous newspaper headlines very well known. The Russian readers over 30 will recognize the joke and smile now. For he still remembers the slogan, "USSR is the bulwark of peace," which in the Soviet era apartment buildings in bright letters appropriate (where now stand coca cola or Siemens signs) and was worn on the May Day demonstrations on red banners across Red Square.
with the motion adopted by Barack Obama missile shield from the Russian anti-American professionals (of which the first part of "evil Obama" - the speech was - see the blog below) got into trouble. The generals now speak of Obama's "sham" ( http://www.de.rian.ru/world/20090918/123159329.html ), Russia's NATO envoy Dmitry Rogozin warned of an "ambiguity" of this initiative. And one of the "experts" from the First Russian television says the U.S. wants to "put Russia back to a Colt's head, but a newer model." This whole nonsense is evidence not only of how they have been associated with Obama's decision from the concept, but of a paranoia in which they suffer and their like or skillfully mimic. In a somewhat less dangerous form of the disease occurs when the Russian politicians of the day, who see in Obama's decision a "victory" of Russian diplomacy.
They know all too well that the whole fuss-missile shield with the security problem in itself had nothing to do. Many Russian military experts (including at the RIA-Novosti Page) noted years ago that the ABM parts, George W. Bush in Poland and the Czech Republic planned to station - ten interceptor missiles and a radar system silly - in fact, no significant threat to Russia posed a military power. Bush was more concerned in the former USSR military domains to gain a foothold, while Moscow was in it, to stop him.
Lustig, the lamentations of the current Polish and Czech leaders, whether they are betrayed by the U.S. and extradited to Russia "was. They seem to have forgotten completely that the missiles and the radar station - at least according to the official U.S. scenario, which was always presented with a serious animal Mine - Were not intended against Russia, but as a protection against a possible missile threat from Iran.
Washington is now proposing exactly what Putin himself has proposed some years ago involving Russian radars and other stuff into a joint missile defense system. And NATO Secretary General Anders Rasmussen pushed on more cooperation between the alliance with Russia. The anti-American professionals are in trouble!
you soon.

How To Break A Vip Suitcase

RUSSIA'S ENEMIES

And hear again and we read texts like the old days ". Be around 2030 to make the U.S. attacks from space and it can also meet anywhere in Russia," said the Russian air force chief Alexander Selin last week. ( http://www.de.rian.ru/safety/20090811/122646965.html )
Not ten, 20 or 30 years. Just last week.
When we were middle of the Cold War. When the generals have forgotten the fate of the invincible Soviet Army, which has set itself and the Soviet Union prepared in effect to death. When the Americans and the Russians had not just been proclaimed at the highest level, a "reset" of Russian-American relations and launched new disarmament talks.
The saying seems to hold real: "The generals always prepare themselves before the last war" - even when they talk about the latest hi-tech masterpieces for weapons.
The Russian military today is not to be envied. Finally, even the people who think every now and then about the meaning of life, or at least over the meaning of their professional existence. And "even people" they want to "live well" and to earn good money that is. In addition there during the crisis period. As such, they must paint containing such a bogey on the wall.

this moment, Russia has no enemies. And certainly not enemies in the West.
me it's pretty obvious. Of course I understand the enemies of such countries or forces that threaten Russia's security and territorial integrity. (All other competitors are at most and rivals.)
It would be a shame about the place I would take now to support such a hypothesis. If the readers additional questions in this thesis arise, they are asked to send me this. We are welcome to discuss it. For now I put this theory but just walk into a room. Sapienti sat. No one denies
to the need of the armed forces. I did not. Only the armed forces would have to use real political objectives and not hunt for ghosts from the last century. Something is not for me.

were a few months ago, the Russian generals back a couple old-fashioned strategic bombers to Venezuela and . Fly In early August could maneuver the Russian admirals, two Russian submarines near the U.S. coast. ( http://www.de.rian.ru/safety/20090806/122591683.html ). Apparently, these activities appear to them useful and important.
Many a reader of www.de.rian.ru wonder about why our web page says so much about armor, military etc.. Many a German colleagues my ironic that Russia teaches the fear of "the West in this way.

The other - problem is that Russia has fewer and fewer friends - in my view larger.
It can not be an accident, but it already smells more like a questionable legality that Moscow in recent years, even with the closest, falling out the "natural" allies has - first with the Ukraine, followed by Belarus. Not to mention all over Georgia. Even Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are now increasingly dependent on Russia.
power Moscow this really all right - and all the other all wrong? Moscow is about, in fact victims of a global anti-Russian conspiracy (with the U.S. at the top, of course, as so many paranoid now and then say)?

"Nobody in the world loves us," I heard once from a deputy in the Russian Parliament House of Commons. Question: Would a member of the Bundestag, such a formulation - "We love German nobody in the world" - does come to mind? Or a British, one French, one English members? Demonstrates such a question not of some complexes?
(And also:.. Under the United States is hardly a country in the world "loved" I have not noticed that there was ever a problem for the Americans)

What I think is the cause elsewhere.
Most foreign policy problems of Russia - was that in the West, East or in post-Soviet space - are rooted in my view, the core problem that Russland mit seiner postsowjetischen Selbstidentifizierung hat.

Gut so.

Is Protein Synthesis Anabolic Or Catabolic

The Russians are coming (not). Part 2 My response to "Time" issue.

„Mit Russland – aber wie?“ lautete kürzlich die Überschrift eines Beitrags in der Wochenzeitung. ( http://www.zeit.de/online/2009/30/russland-westen )
„Die Zeit“-Autor Christoph Bertram stellt fest: „Russland macht it difficult to find international partners, a normal relationship with him. "Sure, who else
is fair to admitting that Russia is not alone to blame.
A quote: ". For a long time in Washington and some other Western capitals that only wimps would take strategic deference to Russian sensibilities" Right. In the recent past, Moscow can see enough examples of this. Gorby for example, was led around like a naive Rotzbube by the nose - such as him with the (verbal) promises that NATO would not expand through the former Eastern Bloc countries. In the euphoria of the wall opening was the promise containing the same password.
But Putin's turn toward the west to 11/09/2001 was rewarded in any way, but taken as a given.
Moscow really had good reason to feel pissed. The story about the U.S. missile shield and its parts just in Poland and the Czech Republic would be established there, but the rest of the Kremlin, he was really angry. However, it was just
said Bertram, Russia, it's international partners as "hard power".
the end is the key sentence in the article, which is probably intended as an answer to the question in the title: The West should "take seriously legitimate security interests of Russia and pragmatic Look for bargains where they are possible ... Perhaps so in Moscow suspicious slow increase confidence that the West thinks it honestly "with the desire for a strong, peaceful and prosperous Russia as a partner.
The article in the "time" fell on me while I was the first Part of "The Russians are coming (not)" wrote. Like me, was also what Mr. Bertram would have to write instead of long explanations -
Moscow because the West can do that is easily understood that he is sincere: as soon abolish visa requirements for Russians! At least explain to do so. But really: That would be the most convincing Proof.
In Part 1 this little "The Russians are Coming" series I have already given some arguments for it. The clever minds in Brussels know better than I determined that this step would bring practical benefits only for Europe itself - not only mentioned in "pragmatic" terms, which Mr. Bertram, but also in political, ideological and propaganda. Apparently these are intelligent people hesitate just to sell that decision to the highest possible price in Moscow.
And when they ask you - "with Russia - but how"

The popular free newspaper "Metro" in the Moscow subway every morning is read by several million passengers carried in the edition of 17 July the headline: "The Germans are willing to let the Russians enter without a visa in Europe."
attacked stunned to me. Sure, the title proved to be a bluff. It was just a question that Russia's Deputy Prime Minister (and ex-Prime Minister) Viktor Zubkov at the recent Russian-German summit in Munich, presented a proposal to that effect. A few hundred thousand other subway passengers who only read the title and they have noticed to be even today still think that it's really true.
Well at least that is spoken of this simple but very effective option still. And at the highest level.
you soon.

The Russians are coming (not)

Guess: How many Russians and Russians have a passport? In other words, what proportion of the Russian people attended (in) regularly to other countries?
Now you will think the same: The Russians really come in masses. Russian can be heard almost constantly and everywhere, you may think. Some people will think now maybe the uproar that occurred several years ago somewhere in Austria: Some hoteliers have forged in the winter season, an anti-Russian conspiracy - they would not see the Russians in their establishments. Respectively. listen - because this boorish savages with their loud and reckless Occurrence of other guests scare.
Well, guess, will you? If it is 75 percent? 50? 33?
No. Wrong guess.
There are fewer than ten percent. Infants and old people included. So ten to twelve million.
Some of you will now see that number unbelievable small. I hear so many of you who shout at me in horror: "Impossible," "lie" Maybe even - "appeasement propaganda"
senseless!. There are now times hard facts and fresh figures.
The Russians do not come. Most of those who wanted to come are long since over. The potential of the would-be coming is vanishingly small. Percentage is shrinking.
particularly in view of the crisis. Here are the latest statistics: Four (FOUR - not 40 and not even 14) percent of Russian citizens are planning to spend their annual vacation abroad.
completely unnecessary so the panic in the fall so many EU officials (this fake but rather used to), when asked after a possible abolition of visa requirements for Russians.
's more: Of these four percent of the travel-happy Russians want to save yourself a solid share of the cost of visas and harassment and prefer to travel to a country that demands of them a visa. Some in Turkey. Or after Israel. Meanwhile, there are more than 40 countries that the Russians are allowed to visit without a visa. For this year's bathing season, also countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and many others - in Europe alone - the visas for the Russian guests abolished (Vietnam, Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia, by the way also, not only for the holiday season, but at all).
Speaking of Israel. Discussions on the visa abolition are still fresh in memory. Those who have traveled to Israel to know the local animal control for the serious entry and exit. Widely known is also the (unfortunately not unfounded) terrorist phobia in Israel. The requirement now calculated with Russia and therefore to create a country for which the Islamist terror after the two Chechen wars, is also still a problem - crazy?
ins much weight in the discussions also concern that many of the guests coming from Russia to Israel would also like to stay there - after all, make the emigrants from the former Soviet Union over 20 percent of today's Israeli population.
In September 2008 the visa regime between Israel and Russia but now abolished on both sides. Israel thus achieved a ten percent increase in tourist flow from Russia. A couple of posts for officials in the consulates have been deleted. No other significant consequences. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said
, Moscow would the visa requirements for EU citizens, "tomorrow" abolish the EU to do that. I think my minister, frankly, not always, in the case, I believe him but once. The atavistic
visa regime between EU and Russia has to go. In terms of the political, economic, ideological, propaganda, humanitarian and other advantages, the political, economic, ideological, propaganda, humanitarian and other disadvantages would be silly, ridiculous and hardly worth mentioning. I claim halt.
more about this maybe in a next Brief.
Auf bald.

Evil Obama

Mein Kollege N. hasst Amerika wie die Pest. Einfach so.
Weltweit.
Paradoxerweise reflektieren die Amerikaner even quite little about this global phenomenon. They are simply far too fixated on their own. (One more reason to hate America?) I remember a TV report on 11 September 2001: An American who was able to escape at the last moment from the collapsing World Trade Center shouted, horrified at the camera: "Why" She seemed absolutely real to not understand that you can hate their country so selflessly.
Such a rich selection of T-shirts with anti-American and anti-Bush drawings in London, I've seen nowhere else in Europe. In London!
Since I'm just not an American, I see enough responses to the "Why?" Of these unsuspecting American from the TV report. Vietnamese, Iraqis, Chileans, Mexicans, Arabs, Japanese, but also Russians, French, German and English - representatives of all nations would come up quite a number of immediate responses.
bother me but the obvious anti-Americanism. What bothers me is the indiscriminate condemnation of America. I am particularly disturbed but the anti-American professionals.
Layer: For a believer, God is self-evident. Just as Satan. This is of course evil and omnipresent. Therefore, one can also write to him about everything. For the "anti-American professionals" that's their bread.
In Russian Wikipedia I read in the "anti-Americanism": "In many cases, the negative attitude towards politics and culture of the United States is not a spontaneous expression of public sentiment, but it is artificially propagated by authoritarian states to divert attention from internal problems. This is for the Muslim countries are especially characteristic. "
why it is. On Monday, Barack Obama
comes to Moscow. A mega-Harismatiker. A charmer, the conciliatory speeches directed at the Arabs and pull U.S. troops out of Iraq can be. A politician with his eloquence and his gentle manners, almost every conversation partner - intentionally or unintentionally - steals the show. Is he a priori an evil one?
course, have the anti-American professionals hard with him. Even if Obama does this or that wrong time - and he is indeed inevitable - it will probably be hope for potential not lose too fast.
had in recent years, relations between Russia and the United States almost slipped on the status of the Cold War, President Dmitri Medvedev complains in his video blog on the Kremlin website ( http://blog.kremlin.ru/ ).
The new U.S. government under Obama but currently show a willingness to change the situation and make it more effective, more reliable and modern relationships. "We are ready," says Russia's president.
At the local anti-American professionals and their aftermath, he probably had no thought for the moment.

Michael Jackson and anti-Americanism

flowers, candles, wine, a Russian teenager, Michael-Jackson-photos in addition to Russian icons - a unique image at the entrance to the U.S. embassy in Moscow. Not even after the attack on the Twin Towers in 2001, when several thousand Americans lost their lives, there has been such a thing. But
have seen the walls of the embassy building now abundant expressions of antipathy. Periodically they were pelted with tomatoes and eggs, once even fired from a bazooka - in recent years, the U.S. government has probably in Indeed, enough obscenities committed.
course is also the current wave of sympathy and compassion, not the United States, but a single U.S. citizen who has long since become a citizen of the world. Millions of Russians and Russians consider this droll Americans to their hearts - of course not, because he was a U.S. citizen, rather DESPITE this fact. Despite the sometimes unreflective anti-Americanism in the post-Soviet ideology - is dominating and in the Bush era has grown clear - except for brief episodes. About
like the Russian-specificity anti-Americanism I write in more detail in the next few days - especially in connection with the forthcoming visit to Russia Barack Obama.
today would certainly draw a parallel between Michael Jackson and Barack Obama too speculative and too risky. What is the current U.S. president, however, can write well: So far he has done little, which would have supplied the global anti-Americanism new nutrient. The diehard anti-Americanists have a hard time with him - just as it did with the American megastar Michael Jackson.

Directors 'Blog # 2

Hey guys!

now it's my turn to give you a live report from the "danger zone" and I'm a little exicted about it. Since we have started shooting on this year's Easter weekend, we have managed to bring some of the scenes to life and the results are quite stunning.

But just like Matti did in the first entry of the "Directors' Blog," I'd like to introduce myself to you. I'm Catherine (or just
Rina ), director, camera woman, sound / music / film editor, co-author, advisor, shoulder to cry on and girl for everything at Dark Moon. This package is summarised by the label of Atziluth Entertainment. I'm on the project since the very start and it's wonderful and exicting to watch how the vision is more and more coming to life. And with the shooting started, the story of »Dark Moon Fairytales« is beginning to really take it's shape.

Since the end of 2006 (is it that long ago already?), when Claudia first told me of her idea for this project, I was thinking about how to put »Dark Moon Fairytales« in sound and vision best. Storytelling also works with the use of the technical equipment, even if it’s just the handling of a camera.

Everything was put to the test on Good Friday, the first official day of shooting. Until then we had shot under very easy circumstances, e.g. for our Inner Senshi Special . Very easy, because we hadn’t been limited by a script. The actresses and actors could come to terms with there roles, while I was trying to familiarise myself with our new camera. The Christmas Special of 2007 was shot with a simple and older DV-Cam indeed.

If Mother Nature meant it well, when she gave us pure sunshine of the April 10, 2009 is anybody’s guess. Because we started shooting the opening sequence of the Inner Senshi with high-contrast shadows and rather insufferable 90 degrees. Melissa (Jupiter), Jessica (Mercury), Claudia (Moon), Daniela (Mars) and Melanie (Venus) were having a rough time in their wigs and warm school uniforms. So I give credit to all of them for giving their best even at the 10th attempt.

And a big thank you to Denise, too. Though she is occupied with the role of Sailor Pluto, she took the time to help me behind the camera on that Easter weekend. Only a month later, she was demanded in her role, as she and Jessica (Chibimoon) shot their first scene together. This was quite a premiere as well, because it is going to be one of the most complex scene in post production. But the reason for that won’t be revealed yet. Denise and Jessica were untroubled by heat, but by dozens of interested spectators.

You can imagine that, on set, it’s tough work for everyone. Every scene has to be shot from many different perspectives which means it takes at least 10 passes to shoot a scene. Assuming that there are no bloopers or technical errors, of course. Whereas those lead to
very fascinating results. We had a great time together which made it worth the effort.
Well, by nightfall at the latest, it takes its toll, but the days were inspiring and funny. I have to thank everyone for that! Sadly I haven’t had the chance to shoot with all the cast, but this will definitely change in the upcoming months. There’s still a hell lot of work to do.

Here are some facts and figures:

Until now, we have shot 10 out of 63 scenes . They consist of 1.014 takes or 11,67 GB disc space. This makes it 101 takes per scene at an average. Hypothetically speaking, the film would contain of 6.388 takes of raw material which means an average of 1,2 GB per scene . Let’s better not calculate what this means in minutes ;)

So, these are the collective results from a total of 8 days of shooting. Maybe I should keep up with these statistics. Let’s see what they look like when we’re finished *g*

The next step is to go through the material and select those shots that could make it into a raw cut of the scenes. Otherwise it’s going to be a complete disaster on my hard drive. That is why I take my time in sighting the takes. But I have to admit, some of the outtakes are simply great ;). The photos speak volumes already…

This is a rather small selection. I could show you hundreds of dog photos. Absolutely fabulous! Thanks to Claudia and Denise who snapped these during the shooting.
What is happening to the material in the first cut? Well, maybe Matti and I can not just tell you about it, but show it to you next time. We hope you stay tuned and see you soon!

Best regards from Cologne,
Catherine

Hey there,

Well, I am from the series with a live report from the Danger Zone . And I am a little excited. Since the official shooting begins at Easter we've got a lot of little scenes. And the recent results are surprising even for me.

But just like in Matti first entry "of the" Directors' Blog would like, I introduce myself. I'm Catherine (or just Rina ), director, cinematographer, editor, sound and music editor, co-author, consultant, shoulder to good cry and girls for everything from Dark Moon. All this, taken together, the label "Atziluth Entertainment." Since the earliest beginnings of the project I'm already there and still see with joy how everything grows and thrives. And now that we really have started with the movies, I can not wait to see what will adopt the final form of history.

Since the end of 2006 (is it really been that long?), As Claudia me for the first time their idea for the project described, I'm now even my thoughts on how to "Dark Moon Fairy Tales" probably the best in sound and could realize image. Storytelling works, finally, on the use of technical equipment and it was just the handling of the camera.
The first test of it came on Good Friday, the first official day of shooting. So far we have always turned in extremely relaxed conditions, For example, the Inner Senshi Special . Extremely so far relaxed as we were not constrained by a script. The actors could see their roles, while I was familiar with our new camera made. The Christmas Special was in 2007 that is been shot yet with an older DV-Cam.
Whether Mother Nature has been kind to us when they are on 10 April brought bright sunshine, be undecided. For in-contrast shadows and rather intolerable 32 degrees C began filming for the opening scene the Inner Senshi. Melissa (Jupiter), Jessica (Mercury), Claudia (Moon), Daniela (Mars) and Melanie (Venus), it was not so easy with their wigs and thick uniforms. I count it at all so high that they have also the tenth round, where still very hard.
And a big thanks to Denise at this point, although it has actually held the role of Sailor Pluto, at Easter but energetic as Helpers mitanpackte behind the camera. She herself was barely a month later asked when she and Jessica (Chibimoon) had their first scene. This was also a premiere, especially since this is probably one of the most elaborate scenes for the post production. Why, at this point but not yet revealed. Denise and Jessica had less to heat, but to fight with astonished onlookers.

you so you can imagine that not everyone on the set is simple. As each scene must be filmed from multiple camera angles are always necessary to have 10 passes to turn off the scene. The course assumes that there is no Textpatzer or not the technology fails. Just being out the of the most astonishing results :) We had a great time together, forget all the hardships and made a effort.
Well, in the evening we always pay the toll, but the days were nevertheless stimulating and funny. I thank you very much for all! Sorry, but I had not to film with all actors the pleasure of what will change in the coming months, however. Nevertheless, much work lies ahead.

But here are a few figures

To date, were shot a total of 10 of 63 scenes . They consist of a total of 1014 Takes or 11.67 GB disk space. Calculated results in the average 101 takes per scene . Hypothetically, the film would be the rough draft that is from 6388 Takes , which in turn means an average of 1.2 GB per scene. How much is in minutes, we want to work out better at this point;)

So this is the outcome that has accumulated to a total of 8 full days of shooting with me. Maybe I should follow up these statistics to the completion of the project further. Let's see what the numbers will ultimately tell * g *.

The next step is the extensive examination of the material to find a selection of settings that are eligible for the rough cut of the question. Heil is this a mess on the Hard drive when you are not careful detail. That's why I take my time and separate the images very carefully from each other. But I must admit some of the outtakes have become really great;). The photos speak volumes already ...

Unfortunately this was only a small selection, I could show you hundreds of these photos. Absolutely fantastic! We thank Claudia and Denise, who have diligently snapped. can

But now the rough cut happens, Matti and I will next time maybe not just describe, even show. So always nice on the ball and see you soon! :)

Greetings from Cologne,
Catherine
